On September 18 2015 "Rattle That Lock" will be released. It’s the new solo album from former Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour.

The first single from the album, has been produced by David Gilmour himself, Roxy Music’s Phil Manzanera, and former Squeeze member Jools Holland. As it had often happened in the past, David Gilmour also collaborated with his wife, Polly Sampson, who contributed to Rattle That Lock‘s lyrics. She also introduced the theme of the album describing it as “‘Carpe Diem’ … seize every moment, look to the future, ‘Just Do It’ and don’t be afraid or hold back.”
The Sessions for the 10-track collection were conducted mainly at the artist’s studio in Brighton, U.K.

The Rattle That Lock cover was created by The Creative Corporation's Dave Stansbie under the creative directorship of Aubrey Powell from Hipgnosis, the company that designed many of Pink Floyd's most iconic album covers.

The album will be available in a variety of different formats, from digital download and heavyweight vinyl to a deluxe box edition featuring four Barn Jam films, four non-album audio tracks, four documentaries and two promo clips.
