Book your plane tickets to Seattle, Joan Jett and Heart fans, because they’ll be teaming up for a one-of-a-kind charity event in the city this spring.
Titled ‘Kiss the Sky! The Orca Freedom Concert,’ the concert boasts a bill led by Jett and Heart as co-headliners and includes Country Joe McDonald, Brian May protege Arielle, and Andrew Morse. Scheduled for April 22, it’s being held to benefit the Center for Whale Research, OrcaLab, and the International Marine Mammal Project of Earth Island Institute, through the “Orca Trust” fund of Orca Conservancy.
The show’s being held at the ‘Sky Church’ in Seattle’s EMP Museum, where members have already had the opportunity to purchase tickets. They go on sale to the general public today, with a base price of $100. There’s also a $500 VIP package that includes a meet-and-greet with Heart and other performers, trips aboard a Pacific Whale Watch Association-member boat, and an invitation to join some of the performers on a whale watch cruise the next morning
