The official version, about the Grunge Hero, says that, on April 5, 1994, Kurt killed himself with a shotgun blast to his head. His body was found inside his home in the Seattle area.

But many speculations have risen about this issue and there’s this idea that Cobain was murdered.

A recent documentary, “Soaked in Bleach”, arises the theory that it was Courtney Love to have been behind her husband's death.

When Tom Grant, a private investigator hired by Kurt’s wife, after his disappearance, a few days before his death, was interviewed, he argued that the letter found near Kurt’s dead body announces that he is leaving his wife and retiring from the music business, and it is not a farewell to life. He also said that the final lines, those implying suicide, were added afterwards by somebody else.

Mr Grant also has alleged that Kurt had so much heroin in his system, according to the results of a toxicology test, that he may have been too intoxicated to pull the trigger.

A documentary called Kurt & Courtney, by Nick Broomfield, also made allusions to Cobain's widow. But, so far, no evidence has been found to support this theory.

Two weeks before Kurt's suicide, police was called to his Seattle home, because he had locked himself in his bathroom and was threatening to kill himself.

The report says that 'he had a gun in the room'. However, the singer told them that he was not suicidal…..

What’s the truth?
